Safe Drive, Stay Alive

Isle of Wight Council logoThe Isle of Wight Council’s Road Safety Department has joined forces with the Island’s emergency services to bring the Safe Drive Stay Alive Roadshow to the Island.

Safe Drive, Stay Alive

Safe Drive Stay Alive is based around a reconstruction of a road traffic crash. It traces the events leading up to the crash and follows the actions of the emergency services dealing with the incident. The show is a very powerful and honest account of a crash scene, showing the aftermath of such a serious life changing incident. Those who take to the stage are not actors, but members of the emergency services who attend such occurrences and also family members whose lives have been permanently changed by incidents on the Island’s roads.

The Road Show is aimed at young drivers and potential young drivers, providing the young adults with clear but shocking information on the injuries s

ustained by road crash victims and the consequences which affect their family. It highlights the need for drivers, especially those who are inexperienced and also young people travelling as passengers, to take great care when in a vehicle.
