About

Head-On is a partnership between the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service with the Isle of Wight Council Road Safety Unit, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Road Policing Unit and the Isle of Wight Primary Care Trust.

The partnership came about due to all emergency services and road safety wanting to reduce the number of Fatal and serious road crashes on the I.O.W.

The Partnership was formed in 2005, with production of the Head On DVD in starting in January 2006.

All partners have a Role or Job to do in our day-day work. These skills are used in the presentation of Head On and Safe-Drive-Stay Alive at the Schools or outside events.

The Partnership is always evolving and continues to investigate new ideas to make the Island roads safer.
